What can volunteers do?
Just about anything! Typical volunteer duties include lending a listening ear to patient and/or caregiver, reading to patients or even playing their favorite card game with them. Sometimes just the presence of a volunteer provides much needed rest time for the caregiver. Volunteers with special skills such as knitting may enjoy making blankets or other crafts to bring a smile to a patient and/or caregivers face. Others may chose to only engage in administrative roles such as answering the phone in the office or filing papers. Every role is important to the organization.
